Caspian Beach Clean Up – 01.09.2023 – 16.09.2023

Protect the Caspian Sea

As a part of our commitment to the environment, SOCAR Trading co-sponsored this initiative :
“Protect the Caspian Sea” organized by the environmental platform “EcoHub” and supported by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Azerbaijan Republic.

This event gathered over 1,000 volunteers across eight targeted regions along Azerbaijan border of the Caspian Sea to clear 11-hectare area and removing approximately 5 tons of waste

SOCAR Trading alongside “ECCOHUB” and Coca Cola participated in the instalment of 280 recycling bins across multiple higher education institutions in Baku. Bins were strategically placed in high-traffic areas and academic buildings to maximize participation in plastic waste collection.

To ensure the project’ s long-term success and measurable impact, recycling activities are ongoing, with regular collection and monitoring systems in place. For more progress on the initiative, please see latest SOCAR Trading ESG Report.

Planting Trees Initiative

Every year, SOCAR Trading organizes a Health & Safety week encouraging employees to have a healthier lifestyle.

Our annual Step Challenge Competition was linked to a “Trees planting initiatives”. The more steps taken as a team, the more trees planted.

This project in cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology of Azerbaijan resulted in 2378 trees being planted in the Absheron peninsula in Azerbaijan.

Community Engagement

“Course de l’Escalade” – Geneva, Switzerland – 2023

Course de l’Escalade

SOCAR Trading annually covers the registration of employees and their family members to participate in the marathon: “Course de l’Escalade”.

“Course de l’Escalade” is a family, friendly running event held every year at the beginning of December in the Old town of Geneva.

Ramadan Campaign

In 2025, SOCAR Trading decided to support the “Eat it or save it” Campaign by GOUMBOOK. In collaboration with the U.A.E Food Bank, this project aimed at providing food and hygiene kits to local low-income communities of Dubai.

It also focused on minimizing the impact of food waste thanks to partnership with food providers and kitchen.

Finally, through a partnership with a recycling company, the project aimed to achieve zero waste from meal packing activities.

MUFG Run For Good – London, United Kingdom – 2025

Run For Good

SOCAR Trading has been sponsoring the London MUFG Run for Good for a few years. This initiative supports MUFG’s charity partners in their ongoing efforts to assist disadvantaged young people across the region.

In 2025, the London MUFG Run for Good brought together SOCAR Trading employees, interns, family members and friends to support MUFG’s charity partners.

Every year, SOCAR Trading organizes a Health & Safety week encouraging employees to have a healthier lifestyle.

HSEC

The core principle of our HSEC policy is to ensure that “no one is harmed by our operational activities, the environmental impact is managed appropriately, and socio-economic prosperity is promoted in the communities impacted by our operations”.

CSR Policy

At SOCAR Trading we are committed to implementing a threefold approach to the company’s economic, environmental and social aspects. The CSR policy encourages us and our employees to behave in a socially responsible manner by integrating CSR management practices into the company.
